Happy New Year!
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! With the New Year come lots of new things around Taylor Made School of Austin. We’re incredibly excited to begin 2016, especially with all of the fun events we have coming up!
What’s New with Taylor Made?
Remember the photos we shared last month of our East Austin location? We can’t wait to start cleaning the place up and – guess what! The clean-up crew started yesterday and will be working around the property until the 8th of January to get our first location up and running!
The clean-up crew is a local business and dear friend of our founder, Taylor Goodwin. As a local Austinite, Taylor strives to continually support local businesses around the city. Our school is incredibly grateful for the local businesses that support Taylor Made.
We’re excited to continue to add experience for Taylor Made School of Austin. We’re proud to announce that Taylor Made is now a member of the following organizations:
- Teachers First
- National Association of Special Education Teachers ( NASET)
- CEC Council for Exceptional Children
- Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy ( HCC-TAPT)

On the Horizon
Jason’s Deli Fundraiser – Coming in February, we’ve partnered with Jason’s Deli for a Taylor Made fundraiser. The rules are simple: purchase a meal at Jason’s Deli (located on Research Blvd) and drop your receipt in the “GroupRaise.com” donation box in the restaurant. For every receipt in the box, Jason’s Deli will give Taylor Made 15% of the meals purchased.
RSVP to let us know that you’ll be eating at Jason’s Deli on February 11th from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
Leaving You with Food for Thought
Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? If you haven’t, consider what you could do for someone else this year. Is it volunteering your free time to help others in need? Or maybe, you have a charity that you’ve committed to donating to this year – even if it’s just $5 a month, anything can help!
Remember: focusing on others around us is important, but don’t forget to focus on yourself, too. Often times we lose sight of ourselves in the commotion that is life. Don’t let that happen this year – be the best “you” that you can be!
